The Persian Empire is a series of imperial
dynasties centered in Persia (now IRAN and AFGHANI
STAN)

    cultures within his empire to keep their own
    institutions.

Persian Royal Road The Royal Road was an
ancient highway reorganized and rebuilt by
the Persian king Darius the Great  in the 5th
century BC. Darius built the road to facilitate
rapid communication and trade throughout his very
large empire.
