    the provisions of the Seveso Directive in Greece
    is the following
  • 85 upper tier establishments (safety report,
    internal and external emergency plans,
    information to the public, annual inspection)

    study, major accident prevention policy, annual
    inspection)

  • Check of the completeness of the Safety Reports
    and the notification studies
  • Evaluate all the Safety Reports and the
    notification studies
  • Registration of all the evaluated Safety Reports
  • Drawing up of the external emergency plans for
    all the upper tier Seveso establishments (Civil
    Protection services)
  • Public information for all the upper tier Seveso
    establishments (Civil Protection services)
  • At least one inspection per year of every upper
    and lower tier Seveso establishment
  • CONTINUOUS UPDATE OF THE DATA BASE www.e-per.gr

What should do Seveso establishments for the full
implementation of Seveso Directive
  • The operator is obliged to take all measures
    necessary to prevent major accidents and to limit
    their consequences for man and the environment
  • The operator is required to prove to the
    Authorities at any time, that he has taken all
    the measures necessary as specified in this
    Directive.
  • Compile and submit to the Authorities
    notification or/and safety studies
  • Update all above mentioned Studies
  • Supports Authorities for the drawing up of the
    external emergency plan of the establishment
  • CONTINUOUS UPDATE OF THE DATA BASE www.e-per.gr
