RULES FOR MULTIPLYING INTEGERS
  • The product of two integers with the SAME SIGN is
    positive.
  • The product of two integers with DIFFERENT SIGNS
    is negative.
  • The product of zero and any integer is zero.

TRICK
  • Multiply your numbers like normal
  • Count up the negative signs
  • If there is an ODD amount of negative signs, the
    answer will be NEGATIVE
  • If there is an EVEN amount of negative signs, the
    answer will be POSITIVE
