• This is a major achievement because Daniel had to
  learn a new language and culture.
• He didnt have the advantage of being at home.
• He had to overcome the disadvantages of being
  an outsider.

• Prosperity can entice you into a spiritual
  slumber.
• We forget the natural worlds temporary, that
  Babylon is returning to dust.
• Sometimes blessings cause us to forget.

1. Dont forget the eternal purpose of why
were here. Were Gods agents to bring
redemption to a dying world

A passionate love for God and people is the

The Emphasis Adjustment

• Daniel discovered from the book of Jeremiah that
  the seventy years of Babylonian captivity had
  been fulfilled and began praying for God to
  restore the Jews to Jerusalem. Daniel 92

God showed him he was looking backward when he
should have been looking forward to the coming

started looking forward to the coming Savior!
