Polsmoor Prison Site Visit 22 Feb

• Prison being fenced
• Could not inspect behind workshops re-growth
• Causeway had smelly brown running water
• Cleared area filled with Bulrushes
• Melisa Tang advised that City to clear up stream
  and Prisons to clear into agricultural land/dam
• Exit Civil Society.

• Klaasenbosch Alien Removal
• Alphen trail Alien removal top entrance and
  Northern bank.
• Alphen Trail Cleaner appointed
• Wolwekloof Poplars removed from wetland and
  farm
• Spaanschemat Path re-opened through reeds
  best solution to dig them out

Meeting with Parks

• Met 25th Jolyon Schmidt Wayne Steyn
• Main Points of Meeting
• Parks continue to out-source operations
• All rivers and river banks seen as not a Parks
  issue i.e tree in river Stormwaters problem
• All calls to be placed on C3 in future
• Mowing areas to be cleared of slash to ensure
  accessibility for mowers
