  czars winter palace
• -carried a petition asking for better working
  conditions, more freedom, and a new govt

• -strikes and protests broke out throughout
  Russia
• -the Duma, Russias first Parliament, was created

• -Russia became involved in WWI in 1914

  of the war and leave Russia without any leadership
