12Listening For Bible Echoes
- Then they sent to him some of the Pharisees and
the Herodians, to catch him in his words. When
they had come, they said to him, Teacher, we know
that you are true, and care about no one for you
do not regard the person of men, but teach the
way of God in truth. Is it lawful to pay taxes
to Caesar, or not? Shall we pay, or shall we not
pay?
13Listening For Bible Echoes
- But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them,
Whose image and inscription is this? And they
said, Caesar's. - Then Jesus answered and said to them, Render
to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to
God the things that are God's. And they marveled
at him.
Mark 1213-17
14Listening For Bible Echoes
- So God created man in His own image in the
image of God He created him male and female He
created them.
Genesis 127

18God is the Author
from childhood you have known the Holy
Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for
salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and
is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for
correction, for instruction in righteousness,
that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly
equipped for every good work. - 2 Timothy 315-17
19Men Recorded Gods Words
We also have the prophetic word made more sure,
which you do well to heed as a light that shines
in a dark place, until the day dawns and the
morning star rises in your hearts knowing this
first, that no prophecy of scripture is of any
private interpretation, for prophecy never came
by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as
they were moved by the Holy Spirit. - 2 Peter
119-21

Provision of Hope For whatsoever things were
written before were written for our learning,
that we through the patience and comfort of the
Scriptures might have hope. - Romans 154

saying By those who come near Me, I must be
regarded as holy and before all the people, I
must be glorified. - Leviticus 101
A Holy People You shall be holy, for I the Lord
your God am holy You shall not hate your brother
in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your

that the Lord had given him as commandments
Moses began to explain this law - Deut. 13-5

with all your heart, with all your soul, and with
all your strength. - Deut. 61-5
The Death of Moses So Moses the servant of the
Lord died Moses was one hundred and twenty years
old when he died. His eyes were not dim nor his
natural vigor diminished. - Deut. 345-8
38What do we learn about God?
- God is a lone power in the Universe, and the
Creator of all things. - Events in Eden led to a divorce in communion
between man and God. - God wants to heal this divorce, and so chose a
people (through Abraham, who believed God). - God made a promise that his chosen people would
inherit a Promised Land. - God does not forget or abandon his people he
created a deliverer for them so they could break
free of slavery. - God loves his people, and so gave them a law to
create a safe society for them.
