You will need a myUPRR User ID to view Chargeable
Events on the UP Web site. If you have a User
ID, go to WWW.UP.COM. Click on Customers and then
click on myUPRR and enter your User ID and
password. If you do not have a User ID, click
on Customers, then click on Register for MyUPRR.

• What is Chargeable Events?
• Chargeable Events or CES, is UPs new online
  demurrage system which uses capacity, spot type
  and serving area to calculate demurrage. Instead
  of the traditional free days, customers receive
  credits and debits based on available capacity or
  cars ordered in.
• CES balances are available daily.
• Section 9 of UP Tariff 6004 contains the CES
  rules. The Tariff is on the UP Web site, under
  General Rules, Demurrage and Fuel Surcharge.

• Arrival Credit Two credits are issued for each
  car arriving the Serving Area. The serving area
  is the UP terminal, yard or track where cars are
  held prior to delivery to industry.
• Capacity Credits Credits are issued for spot on
  arrival customers when the customer has available
  capacity. Two credits will be issued for each
  loaded car up to Customers maximum available
  capacity. Spot on arrival customers allow UP to
  choose which cars to spot to industry based on
  available capacity.
• Placement Credits Credits issued when the Order
  In Customer request specific railcars and the RR
  delivers an alternate car or deliver no cars.
  Two (2) credits are issued when the RR doesnt
  deliver the car ordered. Order in customers
  select cars via UPs Web site for placement.
• Release Credits Credit issued when customer
  refuses loaded rail car for any reason other than
  freight claims.
• Miscellaneous Credits Credits issued as a
  result of a dispute.

Unloading Terms This document is a representation
of UP Tariff 6004. In the event of a conflict,
actual published UP Tariff 6004 will apply. The
UP Tariff 6004 is available on the UP Web site,
www.up.com.

it as a favorite for quicker access. Blue
type or underlined type is a link to specific
car detail.

incurring debits on any given day. Click on
the number of debits issued to view the car
detail.

as well as the number of credits issued. Click

Daily Activity Tab - Cars Available Link Car
numbers listed are cars available in the serving
area. To Sort each car drilldown, click on a
column header to re-sort the car list and choose
either ascending or descending order for your
sort. You can customize the drill downs by
clicking on the Show Columns link.

Show Columns Customization Click on the box
adjacent the Column header that you would like
displayed. Once you customize your view, CES
will display that data for all car drilldown
screens in CES. If you request the Ordered In
Date column and the car hasnt been ordered in,
like NCUX 30743 in the example here, the field
will be blank until that car has been ordered in
for placement at industry. Once youve chosen
the column display, click on show columns and the
display will be set up. You can change this as
much or as often as you like.

Creating a CES Online Dispute Select a car to
dispute by clicking in the small box to the left
of the car number. Click on the Dispute button
at the bottom of the car list.

Creating a CES Online Dispute Once you select a
car to dispute and click on Dispute, the CES
display will change to the Dispute tab and the
car selected will be displayed. If you want to
change a reporting date, click on the calendar
link to the right of the Event Date and select a
new date. If you need to enter additional
comments about your dispute, a Remarks field has
been included on the dispute screen Click on
Submit Disputes at the bottom of the page.

Creating a CES Online Dispute CES will issue a
dispute number and display the status on the
Dispute page. If you need to enter a general
dispute, from the Disputes Tab, click on Submit
General Dispute. Add comments and click on
Submit disputes. CES also displays the number
and status of your disputes on the Status Today
Tab.
