  • In the 1700s Britain was the center of the
    Industrial Revolution. Britain has the worlds
    first textile factories, railroads, subways.
  • After WWII Britains economy declined, forcing
    the govt to nationalize many industries.
  • Today, most industries have returned to private
    ownership.
  • Irelands economy was based on farming. Today
    they are branching out into banking, computers,
    electronics, food processing.
