1. What

• Recent incidents at all sites have resulted in a
  number of burns and scalds to hands when people
  have been carrying hot drinks.In particular when
  carrying them up or down stairs.

2. Why

• Moving up stairs, through self closing doors, and
  people cause distractions from the task in hand
  resulting in spills.
• In addition spilled drinks can cause slip hazards
  if not cleaned up.

3. Learning

• If you need to use stairs for hot water, think
  about buying an anti-spill mug.
• If you buy your drink from a café put a lid on
  it.
• Be aware of distractions when carrying hot
  drinks - people, stairs or doors.
• If you spill a drink- clean it up!
