• 2 traits that are X-linked inheritance in humans
  are certain forms of color-blindness
  hemophilia.
• Hemophilia --- blood disorder where your blood
  doesnt clot.

Sex-determination

• Autosomes --- Non-sex chromosomes 22 pairs or 44
  individual chromosomes.
• 23rd pair --- Sex chromosomes determines gender.
  XX --- female XY --- male
• Males determine gender of a child. Why?

Sex-influenced Traits

• Traits that are expressed differently in both
  sexes due to external or internal environments.
• External factors --- temperature, nutrition,
  light, chemicals, and infectious agents.
• Plants could have larger or smaller leaves
  depending on how much light is available.
• Internal factors Hormones and structural
  differences.
• Examples --- male-pattern baldness, horn size in
  mountain sheep, and feather color in peacocks.
  Different in males vs. females.
