  expresses one complete thought. It must contain a
  subject and a verb. It must make sense.

  being done in the sentence or if it is one of the
  23 helping verbs.

• The subject is what or who the sentence is about.
  To find the subject, first find the verb, then
  ask What? or Who before the verb. The word
  that answers the question is the subject.
