• Solution to a system is an ordered pair that
  makes both equations true

How to verify if a point is a solution to a
system

• If you are given a point and are asked to verify
  if it is a solution to a system
• Substitute the ordered pair into the system
• Make sure that the ordered pair makes both
  equations true
• If it makes both equations true, then it is a
  solution to the system.
