21st Century Skills
  • Critical thinking, systems thinking,
    collaborative problem solving.
  • These were difficult to produce with iPads.
Instead we took the angle of using these to help
us improve our own teaching strategies and best
    practice. These are not developmentally
appropriate nor conducive to the subject matter
    for first grade.

In Conclusion
  • Overall the use of iPads increased the four areas
of data collections sight words, fluency,
    vocabulary and comprehension.
  • Studying and implementing 21st Century Skills in
our teaching strategies has changed our teaching.
  • Had a vision of what we thought would happen, but
through the process we were very flexible and
    made several adaptations.
  • Working with digital natives helped us learn too.
