Reported Speech

• Preterit Niko said he went to the movies - Niko

• Conditional Niko said he would go to the
  movies. Niko dijo que iría al teatro

• In English to report what someone said, you can
  use the preterit, the past progressive, or the
  conditional tense.
• In Spanish, a variety of tenses can be used for
  reported speech as well.
• In Spanish, we use the preterit, the imperfect,
  and the conditional tense.
