Transformatitons

• Rigid Motions - the action of taking an object
  and moving it to a different location without
  altering its shape or size.
• Reflections, rotations, and translations are all
  rigid motions.
• Pre-image the picture/shape that you start
  with. This is the image that the transformation
  is applied to.
• Image the resulting picture/shape that the
  transformation has been applied to.

Reflections

• Inside reflections distance is always preserved.
  So what this means is that when you reflect over
  a given line, the distance from a point on the
  image to the line and the corresponding point on
  the pre-image to the line should remain the same
  you can complete reflection across any line you
  wish. The most common lines of reflection are
  the x and y axis and the lines yx and y-x
