  • more expensive time consuming

  • chemical/physical process   expose,  develop, 
    cut
  • grain, contrast, low light, resolution
  • more expensive, higher quality

  • better contrast ratio (light vs. dark areas in
    frame)
  • aesthetically "past" -  tends to have 'historic'
    look even if shot last week
