Change is Inevitable

• All (great) parking lots become buildings one
  day
• Only one (large) donor away from development
• The goal of predicting parking demand over the
  next 5-20 years is a tough task that usually
  involves a master plan consultant
• Be involved in the discussions as early as
  possible, before it is too late!

Involvement in Discussions

• Land becomes too valuable to keep as parking
  forever
• If possible, lose a space, gain a space
• Agree on the cost to build new space that would
  be paid by the program
• Cost difference, 2,500 vs. 25,000
