• You need to persuade that person to read the book
  you just finished.
• Complete the pre-writing outline.
• Complete a rough draft.
• Write a final copy.
• Mail the letter.

• Thesis Statement A thesis statement declares
  what you believe and what you intend to prove.
• For this letter, you believe that a person should
  read the book youre recommending.

• Evidence Facts that support your main idea.
• For this letter, choose three scenes from the
  book to share with your person. Use transition
  words.

• Counter-Argument
• Turn Against your own argument and challenge
  it. Why wont the person want to read the book?
  Tell them the reason before they tell you.
• Turn Back to re-affirm your own position.
  Give them the answer their problem.
• Conclusion
• Restate your position and then tell them what
  you want them to do.
