Scope Point of View

• A memoir tells about a significant event in a
  persons life.
• It is told from the point of view of the person
  who experienced that event

Purpose

• In writing a memoir, a person tries to describe
  not only the event, but why it was a significant
  event and how it effected them in the long run.

SO WHAT?!

• You must show how this event has had a lasting
  impact perhaps it
• Changed the outlook on life
• Taught a valuable lesson
• 
  Etc.

Your Task!

• Write a memoir about a day in your life that is
  memorable.
• Make sure to explain why the memory is so vivid.
• Please think about all the senses while writing-
  touch, smell, sound, sight and taste.
• Double-spaced, 1-2 pages
