Week of September 16th September 20th
Dear Parents,

This week we are learning about MATH- Students
will learn how to solve 2 by 1 multiplication
problems. They will also practice breaking apart
problems and they will practice multi step story
problems. LANGUAGE ARTS- Students will be
learning comprehension strategies in reading, and
they will continue to learn about writing
beginnings. Students will also learn how to make
their writing details specific. SOCIAL STUDIES
and SCIENCE- We will learn about properties and
purposes of soil. HOMEWORK- Monday and Thursday
homework has been posted to our website
http//www.dentonisd.org//Domain/4627. Mondays
homework sheet is due Wednesday morning.
Thursdays is due on Friday morning. Continue
reading and working on multiplication facts.

Parent/Teacher conferences will be September
30th-October 3rd. Please sign up for a
parent/teacher conference by choosing a time slot
in the e-mail I sent to parents that had not
previously signed up. I will send home
confirmations next week for everyone who has
