4Here is the Welcome Screen the first point of
entry after logging in to SAM.
Notice the addition of PROJECTS
51. Filter based on the subject/series/book in
use. 2. Then click Search.
6You may wish to preview a project prior to
assigning it. Click the radio button next to the
Project, then the Preview button.
This screen is a sample of Projects available
after a search.
7From this screen you can View Skill Sets (what
students should know prior to completing a
Project), and you can download the Instruction
File and Starting Document to see exactly what
steps your students will follow. The Solution
Files will show you what the document/spreadsheet/
presentation would look like if it were completed
100 correctly. If you are satisfied with this,
you will click the Schedule button above.
8You are on the Properties tab (you could also
have gotten here by clicking SAM ASSIGNMENTS in
the left nav.) You will name the assignment,
select the book for the Student Study Guide page
numbers and select the section this assignment
will be available for. Click the Project Options
tab next for other scheduling options. (next
slide)
9The Project Options tab is pretty
self-explanatory. You may wish to set weights
and other scoring via the link at the bottom of
the page. Once youve set all of your options,
be sure to click Save and Close in the bottom
right corner.
10To be sure your assignments are scheduled for
students, click SAM Assignments (left nav) then
use the filters then Search button at the top.
11After students complete their projects, you will
visit the Reports area. User the dropdown menus
at the top to indicate SAM Project, then the
dropdown to select whether you view an entire
section or per student record. Select the
Project you assigned, check the section and then
click Generate Report.
12This report shows all of my student results. I
can print this or export it (above). Note the
Submission Status column. By clicking on the
Attention link, you will see results of files
which may have been compromised (file sharing
detection).More on the next screen
13By clicking on the Attention link on the Section
Results by Project report, you will be given
details on the submitting student and from whom
they received the file.

15Students see this initial Welcome screen. To
enroll in a section, they must do so by clicking
Sections in the left nav or the My Sections
link in the center pane. (ONLY ONCE) When
ready to complete their assignment(s), they click
SAM Assignments in the left nav or My
Assignments (I have17 to complete).
16Students see their list of assignments, and will
click on the link to launch it. They will click
OK after reading the assignment specifics set by
their instructor. (screen not pictured)

Students will (1) download their Instructions and
(2) their customized Start File. After
completing their assignment, they will revisit
this site to (3) submit their work by browsing
for their file and clicking Submit.

NOTE this file is MEANT to be blank. Several
Projects will require the student to start from
scratch while others may be partially completed.
Its important to mention that each .docx, .xlsx,
or .pptx Start File is personalized for each
student.
Each file also contains both visible and hidden
encrypted keys to ensure document integrity.
20To see how they did on their Project, students
visit Reports. They select the Project from the
list, click the radio button, then click Generate
Report.
Here is a sample of what a student Study Guide
report looks like w/skill information as well as
the page numbers to refer back to.
