Field of Interest
  • The theoretical, experimental and operational
    aspects of electrical and electronics
    engineering and information technologies as
    applied to Intelligent Transportation Systems
    (ITS).
  • Defined as those systems utilizing synergistic
    technologies and systems engineering concepts to
    develop and improve transportation systems of all
    kinds.
  • The scope of this interdisciplinary activity
    includes the promotion, consolidation and
    coordination of ITS technical activities among
    IEEE entities, and providing a focus for
    cooperative activities, both internally and
    externally.

We ask our member socities to--
  • Make sure your societys Web pages point to our
    Council Web page.
  • Ask your societys representatives for
    presentations on ITS Council activities at your
    board meetings. (Our Council Excom members will
    be glad to participate too if invited.)
  • Include write-ups and news items about the ITS
    Council in your newsletter and magazines.
  • Provide us with up-to-date Society media contacts
    so that we can alert them to such news items.
  • List our conferences on your official meetings
    calendar.
