• We must always remember that God loves us very
  much, the only thing He asks of us is to be good
  and to Love Him.
• We must always treat others the way we would like
  to be treated The Golden Rule

The story of Virgin Mary

• After the ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ, the
  Virgin was in the house of St. John the Beloved.
• She sat with him telling him all about Christs
  life on earth when He was a child, and all the
  sweet stories.

The Ascension

• When the time of St. Marys departure was near
  and she knew it, the disciples and some virgins
  came. Lord Jesus Christ, together with angels,
  came to receive her soul after she had blessed
  the disciples

The Disbelief

• St. Thomas the apostle was not present when she
  departed.
• He came after she had been buried and he heard a
  voice saying, Hurry up to receive the blessing
  of the body of the Pure Mary.
• He saw the body of St. Mary going up on the cloud
  to heaven while he was coming back from India

• Later, when he met the disciples, they told him
  that she departed but St. Thomas pretended that
  he didnt believe this.
• They went together to her tomb but they did not
  find her body and the disciples were astonished
• St. Thomas told them how he saw the body rising
  up to heaven among the hymns of the angels.

• The disciples asked God to show them that the
  scene which St. Thomas saw
• They remained fasting for 15 days and the Lord
  showed them the scene on the 16th of Mesra

After the Ascension

• The Lord answeres the prayer of anyone who
  interceded with her.
• Moreover, the virgin appeared to many people.
• On April 2, 1968 the Lady Virgin, the Mother of
  Light appeared many times in the Church of
  Zeitoun in Cairo.

Appearance in Zeitoun

• This appearance was associated with 2 things
• The spirit of faith in God and in the saints
  spread and many people repented
• Wonders and miracles happened to many people. May
  her intercessions be with us all always

Conclusion

• The Lord Jesus Christ has honored His mother when
  He was alive and before His death on the cross,
  He asked St. John to take care of her.

• He also honored her after her death by taking her
  body from the earth.
• We must also learn to honor our parents as Jesus
  Christ honored His mother!
