PERSIAN GULF BONUS PROGRAM SUMMARY
Rooted in Title 43, Military Affairs, Chapter 9,
Persian Gulf Conflict Veterans Benefit
Program Purpose The purpose of this regulation
is to implement a new program providing a
veterans benefit, in the form of a bonus
payment, to an estimated 32,000 eligible
Pennsylvania veterans of the first Persian Gulf
War (August 2, 1990 - August 31, 1991) and to
survivors of veterans who died in performance of
active service during the period or as a result
of service-connected wounds, diseases or injuries.

PERSIAN GULF BONUS PROGRAM SUMMARY
  • A one-time benefit of 75 per month for each
    month (or major fraction thereof) of active
    service in the Persian Gulf Conflict Theater of
    Operations during the covered period. The maximum
    compensation is 525
  • An additional one-time benefit of 5,000 if the
    service member died or was declared a prisoner of
    war at any time in Theater during the period of
    qualifying service
