3Introduction
-
- An emergency situation could occur at any moment.
Depending on the situation - an evacuation may
be ordered. Successful and safe evacuations
require careful planning, and a well-informed
building population. - This training presentation will provide you with
information that you need to know when you
receive an order to evacuate. - How will you be notified?
- What are the procedures?
- What are your responsibilities?
-
4EVACUATION NOTIFICATION
- Notification to evacuate will be completed via
the following methods as time and the situation
permit - Fire alarm
- Telephone
- Building/Department Safety Coordinators
- 1040 on the AM dial
5Phone Trees
- Are used to provide information to employees via
telephone. - May be used during campus off hours to inform
employees NOT to come to campus. - If you are responsible for maintaining a phone
tree, it should be reviewed often to ensure they
are up-to-date. - If you are responsible for calling employees, but
cant reach someone who is in charge of calling
another group of employees you must make their
calls for them. - If you are responsible for calling employees,
copies of phone trees should be made accessible
from home or the office. - If you are NOT responsible for calling others,
this slide is for your information only.
