  Maryland.
• Graduated from Harvard/Ratcliff
• Lives in Vermont and teaches writing at Warren
  Wilson college

• Writes about exits by lovers, family, friends.
• "I write out of a love for language and for the
  world with all its troubles," says Aleshire,
• "but also from a defiance a resistance to
  losses and to the mutings of the individual
  voice."
