How do I tell responders Im out of my House?
  • Tie a yellow article of clothing to one of the
following, your mailbox, front door handle, or
security gate to let responders know that
everyone is out of the house.
  • Homes that do not have the yellow clothing
visible will be checked by responders and marked
    with yellow emergency scene tape.

Where are the bus stops?
  • For residents that do not have transportation,
responders will utilize a school bus to pick up
    residents at predestinated locations. The
locations will be identified with green
reflectors in the roadway similar to the blue
ones used to identify fire hydrants.
  • Bus stop locations will be posted on our website
    www.westlakefd.org
  • When bus stops are activated, the information
will also be sent to the media and on scene
    responders to help inform residents.

Where will the bus take us?
  • The bus will take all of the residents picked up
along the evacuation routes to the Westlake High
