A Day in the Life of Tariq Tariq is 12 years
old and lives with Mum who has Epilepsy and his
sister Joanne who is 6 years old. Tariq is a
Young Carer.

Morning - wakes up tired checks on mum
gives her medicine makes breakfast for mum
and sister gets sister (6 yrs) Joanne ready
for school takes her to school Tariq is late
for school again punishment exercise!

Tariqs day
Lunchtime - phones home to check on
mum Afternoon - worries about mum and how to pay
gas bill After school - no time to see his
friends picks up Joanne from school buys
dinner Dinnertime - Tariq cooks dinner and looks
after Joanne Evening - puts Joanne to bed
Tariq looks after his mum while she gets
washed, in case she has another epileptic fit in
the bath.

Evening - chats to mum to cheer her up cleans
the house gives mum medicine helps mum to
bed Tariq goes to bed but hasnt done his
homework Midnight - wakes up worried and checks
mum in case she has had a fit
