• Assets are opportunities, skills, relationships,
  values and positive self- perceptions that all
  young people need in their lives.

• Young people with more assets are less likely to
  engage in risk taking behaviors.
• As young peoples assets increase, their positive
  behaviors also increase.
• The average young person surveyed has 18.6 of the
  40 assets.
• Girls on average have more assets than boys.
• Most assets decrease in frequency between grades
  6 and 12.

  assets
• 32 of youth between the ages of 11-18 have 21-30
  assets
• 42 of youth between the ages of 11-18 have 11-20
  assets
