• The Mayans used these for stone messages
• The surviving Mayan ancestor still use glyphs to

• They were used to tell stories

• These are Mayan death gods
• Death gods give high priests messages.
• The death gods told the Mayan when to go to war.
• The Mayan gave the death gods sacrifices.

  increase the blood flow.
• The villagers were sacrificed to the gods.
• The Mayan enemies were sacrificed to the gods as
  well.
