5
4- They said, Does the Lord only speak through
Moses? Does he not also speak through us? And
the Lord heard this, Moses was a very humble man,
more so than any man on the face of the earth. - Numbers 122-3
6
5 If my people who are called by my name, will
humble themselves and pray and seek my face and
turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear
from heaven and forgive their sin and will heal
their land.
6
6Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am
gentle and humble in heart, and you will find
rest for your souls.
7
7He has brought down rulers from their thronesbut
has lifted up the humble.
7
8 Be completely humble and gentle be patient,
bearing with one another in love.
7
9God opposes the proud but gives grace to the
humble.
8
10Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will
lift you up.

- Practice Session 2 Do you have your Pre-set
Buttons? - Offer Obedience
-
13
15Questions?
- What gifts have you offered to God?
- Where in your life are you completely obedient?
- What are of obedience do you need to work on?
14
16...leave your gift in front of the altar. First
go and be reconciled to your brother then come
and offer your gift.
15
17Do not offer the parts of your body to sin,
as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer
yourselves to God, as those who have been brought
from death to life and offer the parts of your
body to him as instruments of righteousness.
Romans 613
15
18Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of Gods
mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices,
holy and pleasing to Godthis is your spiritual
act of worship.
16
19 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually
offer to God a sacrifice of praisethe fruit of
lips that confess his name. And do not forget to
do good and share with others, for with such
sacrifices God is pleased.
16
20But Samuel replied Does the Lord delight in
burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in
obeying the voice of the Lord? To obey is better
than sacrifice, and to heed is better than fat of
rams.
19
21In everything that he undertook the service of
Gods temple and in obedience to the law and
commands, he sought his God and worked
wholeheartedly. And so he prospered.
19
22Jesus replied, If anyone loves me, he will obey
my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will
come to him and make our home with him.
20
23Although he was a son, he learned obedience from
what he suffered and, once made perfect, he
became the source of eternal salvation for all
who obey him.
20
24 Obey your leaders and submit to their authority.
They keep watch over you as men who must give an
account. Obey them so that their work will be a
joy, not a burden, for that would be of no
advantage to you.
21
25And this love that we walk in obedience to his
commands. As you have heard from the beginning,
his command is that walk in love.

- Practice Session 3
- Do you have your Pre-set Buttons?
- Prayer
-
25
28Questions?
- Do you have a consistent prayer time daily?
- When do you find yourself in prayer?
- Why is prayer important?
26
29Moses replied, When I have gone out of the city,
I will spread out my hands in prayer to the Lord.
The thunder will stop and there will be no more
hail, so you may know that the earth is the
Lords.
27
30The priests and the Levites stood to bless the
people, and God heard them, for their prayer
reached heaven, his holy dwelling place.
27
31yet my hands have been free of violence and my
prayer is pure.
28
32 A prayer of an afflicted man.
28
33My prayer is not that you take them out of the
world, but that you protect them from the evil
one.
John 1714
29
34His father was sick in bed, suffering from fever
and dysentery. Paul went in to see him and after
prayer, placed his hands on him and healed him.
29
35And this is my prayer that your love may abound
more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that
you may be able to discern what is best and may
be pure and blameless until the day of Christ.
30
36Devote yourself to prayer, being watchful and
thankful.

- Practice Session 4
- Do you have your Pre-set Buttons?
- Eternal vs External
34
39Questions?
- What external things hinder your eternal walk?
- Why is it so hard to focus on eternal living?
- What are you doing to daily to seek those things
that are eternal?
35
40The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom
all who follow his precepts have good
understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.
36
41Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, Teacher,
what good thing must I do to get eternal life?
Why do you ask me about what is good? There is
only One who is good. If you want to enter life,
obey the commandments.
36
42Even now the reaper draws his wages, even now he
harvests the crop for eternal life, so that the
sower and the reaper may be glad together.
37
43Do not work for food that spoils, but for food
that endures to eternal life, which the Son of
Man will give you. On him God the Father has
placed his seal of approval.
37
44The man who loves his life will lose it. While
the man who hates his life in this world will
keep it for eternal life.
37
45Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is
noble, whatever is right, whatever is lovely,
whatever is admirableif anything is excellent or
praiseworthythink about such things.
38
46- May the God of peace, who through the blood of
the eternal covenant brought back from the dead
our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep,
equip you with everything good for doing his
will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to
him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory
forever - and ever.
