Web 2.0
  • A forum for anyone to create, share and
    collaborate.
  • Web 2.0 is a term used to encompass the growing
    number of web-based tools. Many of these tools
    are free and/or social in nature, promoting
    self-expression and transitioning the Internet
    from a place of isolation to one of
    interconnectedness (Solomon Schrum, 2007).

Web 2.0 Cautions Recommendations
  • What is free today may not be tomorrow
  • New tools are always being introduced
  • Check policies for student use some must be 13
    up
  • Incorporate Digital Citizenship / Internet Safety
    when and where appropriate
