Froggys Sleepover

• Froggy is sleeping over at Max's house for the
  first time. But then Froggy decides it would be a
  good idea to go back to his own house. Then Max
  gets a tummy ache and wants to go back to his own
  house. Back and forth they go between the two
  houses.

• Read the book to the students.
• As you are reading the book to the students have
  them keep track of how many times Foggy and Max
  go back and forth.
• At the end of the book ask the students the
  number that they came up with and make sure that
  everyone has the same number.
• Math Standard 1.1.1 Count, read, and write
  whole numbers up to 100.
• Language Art Standard 1.1.1 Match oral words to
  printed words.

  (collecting data on how many times they go back
  and forth)

• Read the book to the students.
• Talk to the class about what they bring to
  sleepovers.
• Have the students write about what they did when
  they stayed somewhere. What was the experience
  like?

  informational descriptions of a real object,
  person, place, or event using information from
  observations.
• Language Art Standard 1.1.3 Recognize that
  sentences start with capital letters and end with
  punctuation, such as periods, question marks, and

Froggy Bakes A Cake

• It's Froggy's mother's birthday, and Froggy wants
  to bake her birthday cake all by himself. He
  gathers the chocolate, the sugar, the eggs, the
  flour, and pretty soon, Froggy has all the
  ingredients he needs to make... a big mess!

• As a class write down what they do in the morning

  on how to make cupcakes.
• Make sure that everyone in their groups are
  getting a chance to participate.

  describing objects and experiences.

  written instructions.

Froggy Goes Camping

• Froggy packs a lot into one week hikes and
  archery lessons, food fights, scary stories and
  funny songs around the campfire. But only Froggy
  could also manage to lose his trunks during swim
  class and overturn his kayak with the camp
  director in it.

• Since Froggy follows directions during the week
  at camp, have the students follow directions on
  how to get to certain areas around the school.
  For example have the students follow directions
  on how to get to the playground.

  map of their camp.

• Preschoolers are sure to relate to Froggy's
  forgetfulness, impatience, and fears. The
  repetitive text and funny sounds will encourage
  beginning readers who are sure to be attracted to
  the hilariously expressive illustrations.

Froggys Halloween

• As the sacred day grows nearer and nearer, Froggy
  spends all his time daydreaming about what
  costume he will wear for Halloween. Should he be
  a superhero? A pirate? A ghost? Finally, in the
  middle of the night, the day before Halloween, it
  hits him he'll be the Frog Prince!

  would know how much fabric they would need to
  make their Halloween costumes.

  centimeters, or nonstandard units.

  descriptions with careful attention to sensory
