13Grading Preparation and Production
- Preparation and Production is based on
- bringing materials to class (notebook, homework)
- completing out of class work (logs, homework)
- Participating in class (interacting in Spanish)
14Grading - Formative
- Formative grades show how students are forming
their knowledge. This is an ongoing process,
therefore, students are encouraged to constantly
improve their knowledge. - Re-do option of formative work
- To show improvement of knowledge, students must
show - extra effort in studying by completing a formal
corrections process - re-do work within four days of receiving a graded
work
15Grading Summative
- based on past class work (quizzes, homework,
projects) - give the student and opportunity to show their
ability to combine all their current knowledge
writing, reading, listening, and speaking of
Spanish. - Integrated Performance Assessments (IPA)
authentic interaction in an informal setting at
the end of each unit. - Projects formal presentation of a specific
subject.
