Introduction

• What was God doing all that time before He
  created the universe?
• God is eternal.
• He has always existed.
• In eternity, time is meaningless.
• Revelation 106c that there should be time no
  longer
• Song  Time shall be no more

• We measure time by change
• Seasons, years, sun movement
• Our growth and development
• Whatever you believe about the age of the earth
  (6 8,000 or millions of years) The question
  is the same.

Time was Created

• There was no time before creation.
• Genesis 11 In the beginning God created the
  heavens and the earth.
• Time, space and matter were created

God is separate from Time and Universe

• There is no before with God
• There was not even nothing
• To the blind there is not black, there is nothing
• God is always in the present tense
• Not God was, Not God will be
• But God IS

Hebrews 116 But without faith it is impossible
to please Him, for he who comes to God must
believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of
those who diligently seek Him. Psalm 902 Before
the mountains were brought forth, Or ever You had
formed the earth and the world, Even from
everlasting to everlasting, You are God.

John 11-3 1 In the beginning was the Word, and
the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2
He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things
were made through Him, and without Him nothing
was made that was made.

Exodus 314 And God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I
AM." And He said, "Thus you shall say to the
children of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.'
" Revelation 18 "I am the Alpha and the Omega,
the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who
is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."

Isaiah 4310 "You are My witnesses," says the
Lord, "And My servant whom I have chosen, That
you may know and believe Me, And understand that
I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor
shall there be after Me. God is outside of time.

God wants us to know  His Plan

• God's existence is separate from history.
• There is no such thing as prehistoric.
• History recorded events
• History begins with Genesis 11

• Creation took 6 days
• These are the first 6 days of history
• Genesis 21-2 1 Thus the heavens and the earth,
  and all the host of them, were finished. 2 And on
  the seventh day God ended His work which He had
  done, and He rested on the seventh day from all
  His work which He had done.

• Exodus 2011 For in six days the Lord made the
  heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is
  in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore
  the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

• These are regular 24 hour days
• Light period / dark period
• Earth revolves there is light on one half and
  darkness on the other
• Some try to make the earth millions (or billions)
  of years old

• Ephesians 13-4 3 Blessed be the God and Father
  of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with
  every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places
  in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before
  the foundation of the world, that we should be
  holy and without blame before Him in love,
