Title: Missionaries in America
1Missionaries in America
2I work with children in the inner cities. These
cities are so big that some of these children
have never been outside the city.
3They have never seen real cows or horses or
mountains or forests. Many of them only have one
parent, and they may live in dangerous places. I
tell them about Jesus and try to help them with
their problems.
4I work with homeless men, women, and children. I
try to help them find jobs and a place to live. I
organize meals for them so they can have
something to eat.
5When it's their birthday, I try to bring a cake
and a gift. Some of them have never had a
birthday cake before. I also tell them about
Jesus.
6I work on a reservation with Native Americans.
Many of them are very poor. I teach them about
Jesus, and I try to help them learn good health
habits. I try to help the children with their
school work too.
7I work with students who come to the United
States from different countries. They are new
here, and they are looking for friends. So I try
to get families to adopt a student. These
families invite the students into their homes for
meals, especially at holiday times. They become
friends for these students, and they get to tell
them about Jesus. Then when these students go
back to their own countries, they can take the
good news about Jesus back with them.
8I work with children who are having a hard time
with their studies at school. I help them learn
math or reading skills. I become their good
friend. I share the love of Jesus with them.
9There are lots of ways to serve God in the United
States.
10Our nation needs to hear about Jesus more than
ever.
