Kennesaw State University Workshop for Math
Middle School Teachers
Description Participants in these workshops will
explore literature that could be used in their
classrooms to promote mathematical understanding
in relation to specific Georgia Performance
Standards in Mathematics and meet the
requirements of the Reading standard in
mathematics. The participants will help design
and test lesson plans that could be used in
classrooms to effectively link mathematics and
literature, and provide a means of deepening
their students mathematical understanding of key
concepts.
Incentives 5 PLU, 300 stipend, free books and
materials
- Schedule
- Part 1 - June 4-7,2007 9AM-3PM
- Part 2 July 26-27,2007, 9AM-3PM
- Monthly Follow up Meetings through 2007/2008
Academic Year - June 2007 all meetings will be held in English
Building Room 140, KSU. July meetings will be - held in the Clendenin Building Room 1009, KSU.
Location of meetings during school year TBA.
