Student Feedback
  • My student feedback surveys are consistently very
high. On average, for the seven classes I taught,
I received mostly 100 on a majority of the
questions with a few questions in the 82-85
range. Additionally, in one class of 13 students,
I received agree or disagree for a few questions
which lowered the average for that class. I
administered them in the required fall semester
to all of my classes including my overload
classes in a prompt and organized manner. I
continually get positive feedback from current
and former students about how much they like my
    teaching style, personality, professionalism, and
concern for their well being. During registration
period former students look for classes Im
teaching and express their disappointment if Im
not teaching one in their level. They always
comment on how they like that I dont speak
Spanish in the classroom because they learn so
much more. I will work to maintain an above
average score by continuing to create an
atmosphere conducive to learning in my classroom.
I also feel that the use of technology, constant
    feedback, individual conferences, and the
personal rapport that I develop with my students
aids in their progress and in student retention
and success for the program. Students from
previous semesters take my classes again and
again, and they recommend my classes to their
friends. Also, between my classes I get to know
students who I am not currently teaching which
results in them registering for my classes in the
    future whenever possible.

Student Feedback
  • Student success and retention is an area of
priority for me. I am always striving to modify
my instructional style to assist the needs of my
students. My retention records reflect a
retention rate of 95. I believe that by
    providing individualized assistance to students
is an important factor in having a high retention
rate. I keep careful records regarding the
students progress, so I am able to track
students easily, identify problem areas, and
document the students progress. I notify
students immediately after class, via c-mail, or
by telephone if they arc struggling with tests or
class assignments. I arrange to meet with these
students in my office or after class. If students
need additional help, I refer them to the
appropriate tutor. In the majority of classes I
give pre and post exams. These types of exams
help me to follow the students progress. The
majority of students in my classes have passed
the class and are prepared to continue to the
    next level.
