5History of Trnava
- Trnava was originate on crossroads near the brook
Trnávka. People live there from prehistory, but
first letter about Tnava is from year 1211.
Trnava was verry important. For example kings had
meetings there. People here built a lot of nice
Buildings/ churches/ squares.

In Trnava we have a lot nice buildings from
history, but we have some modern places there.
Trnava as Small Rome
In Trnava we have 12 churches. Thats so lot. In
Romethere are lots of churches too, concretly 24.
So Trnava have half churches compared with Rome.
For this people call Tnava Small or Slovak Rome.
But we are going to build new church, because how
the city grow up, are parts, from where is
churches long way.

from Bratislava to Trnava. There was no electric
or coal, there were only horses.

Trojicné Square is in the middle of historic
city centre. The name of the square is from the
statue on the square. On the statue are three
godhead person. Around square are shops, caffés,
post, theathre and city tower. Square is a good
place for doing some festivals.

people go shopping more in Bratislava or Nitra.

people like to take a photo there. Sometimes are
there festivals like Proma Frajdej or so. There
is a kids playground too. The name of playground
is Guliver, because it is in shape of goliath
Guliver.

Festival Lumen- the biggest Gospel
festival in Middle Europe. This festival is in
Trnava 21years. A lot of program is for free. It
isnt only on Trojicné námestie, but there is the
most popular music program. Than is festival in
amfithethre, churches and so.
Farebná Trnava( Trnava in colours)- this festival
is one time in year in Sad Janka Krála. We drow
there on pavement some pictures with chocks. That
festival like kids, but teenagers too. Some
pictures are reaally very, very nice.
Trnavská brána( Trnavas Gate)- on this festival
are folk Folk Ensembles from Trnava and towns and
villages near the city.
26JarmokMarket
In Trnava we have jarmok long,long years.
Thats tradition of our city from antiquity.
Every year in September come to Trnava handcrafts
from all republic. In historic centre are booths.
We have there tradition handcrafters like
blacksmith, basket makers, gingerbread makers,
potters and so. You can buy there typical food
like trdelník, or typical drinks like burciak or
medovina. Than come poeple with carousels. We can
buy a ticket and ride on carousels. So thats a
big fun, when you are there with your friends.
Young people stay there long to night.
