  • Remained neutral during the beginning of the war.
  • 1941 Congress passes the Lend-Lease Act which
    allowed President Roosevelt to lend weapons,
    supplies, and equipment to any country whose
    defense was critical to US security.
  • US hoped to help the Allies win the war without
    sending in troops
  • Program gave over 50 billion in supplies

    Iceland to protect ships from German submarine
    attacks

    attack conducted by the Japanese. Over 2,400

    Commission on the Holocaust.
  • Goal is to teach about the Holocaust and the
    danger prejudice can cause
  • Spread awareness by coming to schools, making
    educational materials, setting up at museums.
