Personal Information

• His parents died from consuming poisonous
  mushrooms in 1702.
• He visited England and became a member of the
  royal society.
• His family was a merchant family.
• His family originated in Hildesheim.
• On September 16 1736, at fifty years old
  Fahrenheit died in Netherlands.

Scientific Contribution

• Fahrenheit made the thermometer.
• Fahrenheit also created a constant weight
  hydrometer, an instrument that measures gravity,
  and strength of a liquid.
• He created the thermobarometer.
• The thermobarometer is for estimating the
  barometer pressure (which is the pressure of the
  atmosphere) by determining the boiling point.

Changing our understanding

• Without thermometer or the temperature scale, we
  wouldnt know about the weather.
• We wouldnt know what temperature to reach for
  different weathers to occur.
• We wouldnt know important things about nature
  and what temperatures your not safe in.
• Without thermometers we wouldnt know important
  things.
