Blind Leading the Blind
  • You will be moving around campus
  • You will be SILENT and not a distraction to other
    classes.
  • If a staff member complains about you, you will
    receive detention and a zero for this assignment.
  • You will pay careful attention to your partner
    and protect him/her from harm at all times.

Blind Leading the Blind
  • Everyone will need a partner.
  • Each partnership needs
  • 1 blindfold, 4 cotton balls 2 slips of paper.
  • Determine who will be the subject
  • The subject will wear the blindfold put 2
    cotton balls in ears.
  • His/her partner will take him/her to different
    spots on campus (whatever is on the slip)
  • Remember - if you make noise, distractions, etc
    you will BE PUNISHED severely.
  • You will take turns being the subject (wearing
    the blindfold cotton balls)
  • The entire process should not take longer than 15
    minutes.

  • Which task was the easiest? The most difficult?
  • Which lost sense (vision or hearing) was the
    hardest to do without?
  • How did you feel throughout your time of sensory
    deprivation
  • Did you notice if you were relying on other
    senses that you might normally not think about?
    If so, which ones?
  • If you had to give up one of all your sense,
    which one would you give up and why?
  • Describe what you imagine it must be like to grow
    old and have your senses become weaker.
  • Please turn in your answers when youre done
