The Beginning

• Mo was born February 11, 1968 in New Orleans, LA.
  Mo spent his childhood there with is parents who
  had immigrated from Holland. During and after
  High School, Mo performed in comedy clubs doing
  standup for his audiences. He studied animation
  at New York University.

The Beginning

• Mo began his adventure in writing with Sesame
  Street. He won six Emmy awards for his scripts
  and animations.

• His first book, Dont Let the Pigeon Drive the
  Bus was awarded the Caldecott Honor in 2004.
  Since then, he has won two other Caldacott Awards.
