What is Eco Schools?

• Eco Schools is a programme for promoting
  environmental awareness in a way which links to
  MANY curricular subjects, including Citizenship
  and PSE.
• Eco Schools is a holistic programme and involves
  school pupils, teachers, non teaching staff,
  parents the local authority and local businesses.

How does Eco Schools work?

• Implementing a 7 stage programme.

• Applying for one of the following Eco Schools
  awards (based on how much has been achieved)
• a BRONZE CERTIFICATE
• a SILVER CERTIFICATE
• a GREEN FLAG.
• We currently have our Green Flag and need to
  renew it every 2 years.
