• Made tools out of bone, wood, stone
• Used fire for cooking and skins for clothing

• People began to be able to produce their own food
• No longer needed to search for food
• Could remain in one place year round
• Established first permanent villages
• Led to new technologies
• Why is it called a revolution?

• Realized seeds could be saved and planted
• Rounded up animals that they hunted
