Sexual Selection

• A separate selection process that leads to sexual
  dimorphism (difference in characteristics of
  males and females)
• Males often are larger, showier (like peacocks)
• Females choose the traits they like most in a
  mate, causing those genes to be passed on when
  mating occurs
