BROAD ISSUES
  • GEC induced disasters have become more common and
    have occurred more frequently in Southern Africa
    in the last few decades.

    warning systems by policy and decision makers
    until it is too late
  • Institutional Memory is a serious problem in the
    region with adverse impact on the Regions Food
    Distribution Systems resulting in increased
    population vulnerability.
