Objectives Students are aware of the
composition of the GED test
along with tips for passing each
section of the test. Materials GED
Information Bulletin or GED text that
contains test taking tips, student
handout page, question cards.

Previous work KWL on students knowledge of the
GED test, instruction on test components,
practice with the test format
Steps 1. Students work independently
reviewing GED test taking
recommendations. 2. Students select the
test taking tip that they feel is
most important for them to remember and document
this. 3. Distribute question cards to
each student group(of 8) 4. Students
form a 4 person line facing an opposing line.
5. Students read the question to the person
opposite them, noting the
students response. 6. Repeat with
opposite person reading question and noting
response. 7. Time is called and the
lines rotate to a new partner. 8. Back
in large group, students with the same question,
assimilate the responses, and then
present to the class.
