New Testing Graduation Requirements
  • Those students who start their freshman year in
    the fall of 2014 and beyond will be subject to
    the new Ohio Graduation Testing Requirements.
    The current OGT will not be required, but you
    will instead take 7 tests at the end of courses
    as listed below. Although they are subject to
    changes or additional clarification, the new
    testing requirements look like this, effective
    January 31, 2015

Registration Process
  • Students fill out Registration forms with their
    parents by 3/9/2016
  • Each student needs to register for 7 bells!
  • 1 English (1)
  • 1 Math (1)
  • 1 Social Studies (1)
  • 1 Science (1)
  • 3 Electives (should include Health and PE if
    student still needs them)

  • Students receive materials for Registration
    during school- 2/25/2016

Registration Process
  • Students discuss with parents what classes and
    levels they feel are the best fit 2/25/16.
  • Students have current teachers sign what Science
    and Social Studies course they are recommended to
    take 2/26/16 (Math and English are based on MAP
    scores.
  • NCAA Eligibility Center courses must be college
    prep classes or honors to meet eligibility
    standards.

Registration Process
  • Students meet with a counselor one-on-one to go
    over their class choices. (3/9 and 3/10) Parents
    can sign up to be at the scheduling meeting at
    the end of this presentation in the lobby.
  • If the parent does not agree with course
    recommendations, they can submit a Petition to
    Upgrade to Connie Acra at the Jr School guidance
    office.

Course Change Policy
  • Changes in course selections will only be made
    due to balance class sizes or correct scheduling
    errors/conflicts.
  • Basically this means you need to choose your
    classes carefully and wisely! You cannot change
    your mind in August!

    registration bulletin for all details.
